Lives and Works in Salvador

The artistic production Eriel Araújo is based on observation, interpretation and articulation of social and personal facts, according to choices of procedures, materials and languages gathered around an idea. This idea, often consists in returning the image to the material or situation that gave rise to it. In other times, it suggests deviations, contrasts and even shifts in the works, able to change its qualities, due to the contact between the materials and time shares. The result is a kind of art alchemy.

As a multimedia artist, Eriel uses photographic processes, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, pictorial and video. Human experiences provide great contributions to the development of their works, whether interpreted figuratively or abstractly, in which the results are obtained by mutations, juxtapositions and overlaps of materials and their symbolic values.
